She loves music and even though she can't read it to save her life she sings along to any song that she might know. Her parents have said that she is musically inclined.

0VI. overall history Elletnah was born to a poor lumberjack and his wife with an older brother to protect her. When she was two she was playing on an old playground in the neighborhood, she went down the slide the wrong way and smacked her face on the side of the slide. It opened an inch long gash right next to her left eye and the doctor said it was a miracle that she didn't lose it. The doctor put a few stitches in and sent the little munchkin home. Her parent feared that she would completely lose sight in that eye but she got lucky and the accident didn't affect her sight at all.
Though she is too young to remember clearly she does remember when it was all over the news about the bombing of district 13. When they introduced the Hunger Games as a way to suppress the districts her parents were shocked and terrified, her brother was one of the first from their district to take part in the reaping and it was nerve racking to watch, she was terrified with each passing year that he would be called. Then her first reaping came and it seemed like she could not be more nervous. She has been increasingly lucky that her name has never been called.
She was 13 when she first picked up an axe and she began to teach her self how to properly throw and after several months she got pretty good at it. One evening she was horsing around with a few of her friends and discovered that she has one powerful kick. On her fifteenth birthday, with out her parents knowledge, she talked one of her older friends into giving her a tattoo, he had been doing it for a while and she liked the idea. She choose a simple word, Hopeful, because she was hopeful that the Hunger Games and everything involved would only be a passing nightmare. Her mother discovered her new tattoo a few weeks later when she walked into her room while she was changing. She was put on restriction for a week for every letter, she still doesn't regret it.
